The Diocese of Corpus Christi held a Prayer Vigil on June 3 at Corpus Christi Cathedral after the 5:30 p.m. Vigil to pray for all our family, friends, and members of our community who struggle with same-sex attraction. This Prayer Vigil incorporated the Holy Rosary, Exposition, Adoration, Benediction, as well as petitions for authentic love and friendship through chaste relationships. Father John Ouellette has been assigned as Chaplain for Corpus Christi Chapter of Courage. It is our intention that this event will strengthen us spiritually for the establishment of Courage and EnCourage in our diocese. The Cathedral parish will offer a Core and Recertification Creating and Maintaining Safe Environment Training Sessions on Sunday, June 4 from 10:45 a.m. - 12 noon in Classroom 4. All participants must register through the parish office and complete a volunteer application prior to the class or have one on file completed within the last six months. Non-parishioners are welcome, but must preregister and present either your Blue Card or a statement of eligibility from your parish. Participants must be on time!
